Annual Meeting Attendance: Maxine Lehmann (secretary) Les Keller (president) Carmen Jackson (ND) Clint Walker WDND), Glen Elford, Christine Lamb, Glenna Switzer (treasurer), Erin Keller (awards), Rocky Martell, Parents/Members. All members Who were entered in Rockglen Rodeo. Meeting was called to order by President Les Keller. Agenda additions were asked for. Minutes of the last meeting were read. No errors or omissions. Minutes were adopted as read by Howard Floyd, seconded it by Gail Brownlee. CD. Presidents Report- Les Good group of members to work with. Expressed concern about new members Not being properly dressed. Les explained to everyone that proper western attire Must be worn 1 hour prior to and 1 hour after your rodeo. WD members can Change 1 hour after their rodeo, but not if they are to be in the arena or helping With something. He told the members that there are a lot of opportunities for them beyond our association. If anyone has any concerns or questions they can come and talk to him. National Director Report- Carmen 1 time annual fee of $50 for volunteering. Planning to have a budget this year Challenge to members to try and get more members 2010 Canadian finals will be held in Points/Entry Report – Gloria Treasurer’s Report – Glenna Awards Report – Erin Keller We need more sponsors – up to the membership to canvas potential sponsors. Kayla Nyhus made a motion that our association have Saddles. Amanda Schweitzer Seconded it. CD Question was asked: if there is an event that can’t find a saddle sponsor what would We do? Answer: the board will make the decision A Motion was made to split our Another province. Raelynn made a motion not to do this. Discussion on Parents of a graduated member staying on the board. In prior years, if your child was graduating, you were no longer a part of the Board. Mark Heagy made a motion that if any person who was dedicated and competent to do their job could have the option to finish out their term, if they wish. If they were Disconnected in any way the board would ask them to step down. Motion was voted on and Carried. Discussion on the CCA paper – to keep or not to keep We need to use the paper as a marketing tool to inform our members and others Of events. We need to keep the CCA paper and have a good repor with the CCA as They do give our members scholarships and get us to help at their finals. Mrs. Friesen made the motion that our association keeps the CCA Paper. Gail Brownlee seconded it. CD. Ribbon roping Rule was explained: Wrangler members will keep their points up to Rockglen. After that You must have a partner. No more draw partners in Ribbon Roping. Directors @ Large – 3 year term Howard Floyd, Dale Lehmann are new Directors at Large. President: Kashtin Moen Kaitlyn Ellis is our new Student President Vice President – Raelynn Keller in by acclamation Secretary – Jill Switzer is our new Student Secretary Student @ Large – Keven Kitchen is our Student @ Large Adult Event Directors Roughstock – Brent Moen Breakaway – Shawn Mulvena Barrels – Michele Marcenko/Melody McNaughton volunteered Jill Parsonage will help.
