To the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association
Thank you very much for awarding me the 2010 Friends of Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Award. The award is humbling. When I agreed to be a part of the board of directors of SHSRA I had no idea that I was going to be gifted with meeting and befriending so many great people from Saskatchewan. For example in 2004 in Gillette, Wyoming the NHSRA agreed to put on a PBR at the start of the NHSFR. The issue was we had 12 hours to tear down the PBR arena and sorting pens, put up the NHSFR 2 arenas and banner them. I asked the parents and kids from Saskatchewan if they would help me do this. When the PBR ended there was an army of Saskatchewan volunteers walking down through the dust towards me. I was so proud of being from Saskatchewan I could have kissed every one of those people. I think in 3 hours we were rodeo ready. I accept this award and will cherish it but I accept it on behalf of me my family and every volunteer I have met, worked with and built friendships with because of my involvement with the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association. I know that Saskatchewan High School Rodeo has given me more than I could ever give it. Thank you.
