1. Research classes and places to go.
2. If you want to specialize in your event, research the colleges and coaches as some don't know anything about barrel racing, tie down roping, etc. Some coaches have a girls coach and boys coach.
3. Check out the distance they travel to rodeos and what part of the US.
4. Make a video of yourself.
5. Phone coaches at college.
6. Send video by end of January at latest.
7. Try to go down to met coach and see college in February break and see what amount of scholarship they are offering.
8. Most team rosters are in place by March 31 for the following season in September.
9. For very talented individuals room maybe made after Nationals: but, this again is only offered to a select few athletes.
10 Be persistant if you know where you want to go and phone, phone, phone.
